The file README.devel is a copy of README from ./os2 directory of perl
source. This binary distribution was compiled with a lot of changes wrt
the source. It contains newer MakeMaker, and several additional packages,
ReadKey, ReadLine, Curses, Peek, Dprof, REXX, and maybe some others.

(Note that OS2-specific modules did not make it into standard distribution.)

Out of 3 existing OS/2-specific modules I include only REXX, since I do
not have other 2 libraries on my system.

This package was compiled to be installed on f:, you may change it by
binary edit over perl.dll. It contains the following enhancement wrt the
standard distribution.

	a) Compiled with a denser (but maybe litlbit slower) malloc.
	b) Compiled with DEBUGGING_MSTATS.
	c) Contains native File::Copy::syscopy.

Please contact me if you are ready to update these docs.

Basically, if you extract this archive into the root of f:, and have
f:/emx.add/bin and f:/bin on your path, and f:/emx.add/dll on the libpath,
and the sh-shell in f:/bin/sh.exe, everything is OK. Otherwise you may
need to rearrange things a little bit, or binary edit perl.dll and/or
perl_.exe. A perl script which will edit Config.sh and binaries is badly
needed.
